The Unitarian Universalist Association's Official Membership Statistics For 2016 Reveal Continued Across-The-Board Decline Of The Tiny Declining Fringe Religion™

It seems the Unitarian Universalist Association has quietly updated its official membership statistics for 2016 and, as I expected, those brand-spanking new UUA membership statistics reveal ongoing decline in all categories. . .

The Unitarian Universalist Association ( formerly known as the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations. . .) officially claims to have 1,038 UUA congregations in 2016. This is 5 congregations fewer than the 1,043 congregations the UUA claimed to have in 2015, and the lowest number of UUA congregations since the 1997-98 church year in which the UUA claimed to have 1,033 congregations.

The Unitarian Universalist Association officially claims to have 154,965 adult members in 2016. This is 1,655 fewer adult Unitarian Universalists aka U*Us than the 156,620 adult members that the UUA claimed to have in 2015, and the lowest number of card-carrying adult members in "The U*U Movement" since the 1999-2000 church year in which The Tiny Declining Fringe Religion claimed to have 154,459 adult members.

The Unitarian Universalist Association officially claims to have 44,885 RE Enrollments in 2016. This is 2,738 fewer children and youth attending U*U "Sunday School" than the 47,623 RE Enrollments that the UUA claimed to have in 2015, and the lowest number of children and youth enrolled in U*U "Sunday School" since 1987 in which The Tiny Declining Fringe Religion claimed to have 42,058 RE Enrollments.

The Unitarian Universalist Association officially claims to have a total of 199,850 members in The U*U Movement in 2016 when one combines adult membership with RE Enrollments. This is 4,393 fewer than the combined total of 204,243 adult and child U*Us that the UUA claimed to have in 2015, and the lowest number of U*Us in "The U*U Movement" since the 1992-1993 church year in which The Tiny Declining Fringe Religion claimed to have a total of 193,953 members.

If I remember correctly, and I am pretty sure that I do remember correctly. . . Rev. Dr. Peter "Beyond Belief" Morales was elected as the first Latino president of the UUA in June of 2009 on a platform promising growth of Unitarian Universalism aka The U*U Movement aka The Tiny Declining Fringe Religion. The UUA's 2016 official membership statistics reveal that The Tiny Declining Fringe Religion™ officially has 10 fewer UUA congregations in 2016 than it claimed to have in 2009, and it is probable that the actual number of UUA congregations is significantly lower than the claimed number of 1,038 congregations in that that claimed number includes no less than 51 U*U congregations that have not certified their membership in the UUA in 2016. A more realistic number of remaining bricks & mortar UUA congregations might be 988, which is the number of UUA congregations that certified their membership in the UUA in 2016.

The Tiny Declining Fringe Religion™ officially has almost ten thousand aka 10,000 aka 10k fewer adult members in The U*U Movement in 2016 than it claimed to have in 2009 when Rev. Peter Morales was elected on his platform promising growth of The U*U Movement.

The Tiny Declining Fringe Religion™ officially has almost twelve thousand aka 12,000 aka 12k fewer children and youth enrolled in Religious Education classes offered in UUA congregations in 2016 than it claimed to have in 2009.

All told, (and Truth be told the UUA may not actually be telling the Truth about actual membership in UUA congregations in its publicly released official membership statistics), the
The Tiny Declining Fringe Religion™ officially has around 21,500 fewer adult members and children and youth enrolled in Religious Education classes offered in UUA congregations in 2016 than it claimed to have in 2009.

Forgive me for asking President Peter "Beyond Belief" Morales, but where's the Big Fat U*U Growth that you promised to Unitarian Universalists in the UUA presidential election platform that you were elected on almost 8 years ago now?

Why does this old Status Quo song come to mind here?
