Is Rev. Dr. Daniel Kanter Of The First Unitarian Church Of Dallas Texas A Liar?

It would appear that the Rev. Dr. Daniel Kanter of First Unitarian Church of Dallas is either badly misinformed about 21st century U*Uism, or he is just plain lying about U*Uism to the Dallas Morning News in this article entitled 'Texas Faith: Are there cracks in America’s Christian foundation?'

Rev. Dr. Kanter is quoted as saying -

Unitarian Universalism is also growing for one reason; we evolve. My faith does not hold tightly to the old ways but interacts with the times we live in. While we are doing that we are speaking to things that matter in people’s lives and standing up for relevant justice issues in our communities. “Nones” come to our doors every day because they want to make meaning of their lives. They aren’t met with answers that were given thousands of years ago. They are met with answers grounded in our 500-year history but alive with the times. They are also welcomed for who they are not who we might want them to be. The churches that are in decline have failed to remain relevant and adapt. They have also stood against trends in society that want inclusion as a higher value as they support discriminatory practices against LGBT clergy and members, for example. I am proud of my faith that stands in the mainstream of support for genuine inclusion and justice for all. Only these approaches will save the church.

Here is the commented that I submitted in response to Rev. Dr. Kanter's rather questionable claims about the "tiny, declining, fringe religion" known as The U*U Movement -

The Rev. Dr. Daniel Kanter of First Unitarian Church of Dallas is either totally clueless about UUism, or he is outright lying to The Dallas Morning News. . .

For starters Unitarian Universalism is NOT growing at all. Membership in UUA congregations has been stagnant for decades, and is now in obvious decline.

"My faith does not hold tightly to the old ways but interacts with the times we live in."

Which explains why immoral and unethical UUA leadership is holding tightly to the ludicrous "blasphemous libel" accusation that the Rev. Dr. Peter Morales UUA administration hired Stikeman Elliott Barristers & Solicitors to bring against me in June 2012. Oh the joys of being falsely accused of blasphemy by Atheist Unitarians LOL!

"While we are doing that we are speaking to things that matter in people’s lives and standing up for relevant justice issues in our communities."

Right. . .

Tell us another funny story Rev. Dr. Kanter.

LOL! UU churches are in decline across the USA. Maybe it's because UUism has failed to remain relevant and adapt. Why is UUA membeship declining if “Nones” come to UU "church" doors every day?
