The Interdependent Web Page Of The UU World Blog And The Emerson Avenger Blog - What's The Connection?

In what I have reasonable grounds to believe is a UU World blog first, but hopefully not last. . . the authors of 'the interdependent web' "weekly roundup of blogs" of the UU World blog have seen fit to link directly to one of The Emerson Avenger blog posts about my Boston TEA Party which took place over the Boston Marathon weekend in its most recent post titled 'UU bloggers on immigration, declining membership, and board activity'. Here is the pertinent text from that UU World blog post -

UUA Board reports and UU governance

Linda Laskowski, UUA Trustee from the Pacific Central District, blogs at length about the recent UUA Board meeting. (“UUA View from Berkeley,” Overview, April 24; Commission on Appraisal Funding, April 25; Healthy Relationships, April 26; The Observer, April 28; Landlords of the UUA, April 29)

Laskowski’s post about “The Observer” discusses Robin Edgar’s attendance at the board meetings. (Edgar, who has been publicly protesting what he calls his mistreatment by the Unitarian Church of Montreal and by the UUA since the mid-1990s, also picketed outside two Boston UU churches during his visit. He describes the board meeting at his blog, April 21.) The Rev. Scott Wells takes exception to Laskowski’s characterisation of Edgar.

Laskowski clearly has not been for years on the receiving end of his incessant and profane harassment. Nor has she been a personal target of his slanderous screeds. Nor has she had to wrestle with excluding someone so profoundly, which in our tradition this is the deepest and final — and necessary — punishment. At the very least, she owes the Unitarian Church of Montreal an apology. And yes, I do hold UUA board members to a very high standard. (“Boy in the Bands,” April 30)

end quote

I guess the "collective authorship" of the UU World blog, which in this instance would appear to consist of Kenneth Sutton and UU World editor Chris Walton, made an editorial decision not to pay *too* much attention to that small interconnected and quite *interdependent* clique of "less than pleased" U*U bloggers who are calling for a total ban of any mention of your's truly on any U*U blog. While I am certainly quite pleased, even somewhat gratified, that the UU World blog mentioned UUA PCD Trustee Linda Laskowski's 'The Observer' blog post which presented her take on my role as an "observer" during the April 2010 UUA Trustees meeting(s), and even linked directly to my own initial report about my participation in the BOT meeting(s), I find the report somewhat "less than balanced" in that it extensively quotes "less than excellent" Universalist "Christian" U*U minister Rev. Scott Wells' Big Fat U*U Rant which accuses me of "incessant and profane harassment" and "slanderous screeds".

While I will not deny exposing and denouncing diverse U*U injustices, abuses and hypocrisy in a *steadfast* and *dedicated* and *persistent* manner, and occasionally even using a few "profane"* words here and there, as *some* "less than excellent" U*U ministers are happily allowed to do by the UUA and MFC. . . I hereby officially challenge Rev. Scott Wells to present evidence that *substantiates* his so far "unsubstantiated rumor" that I write "slanderous screeds." I am quite conscientious about telling the Truth on this blog and am quite unaware of any "screeds" I have written that can be justifiably described as "slanderous". So fire away Scott. Put up or shut up. Not that you will shut up once it becomes glaringly evident that you can't actually "put up" any compelling evidence that I have actually slandered any U*Us.

More about this later. . .

* I mean *really* U*Us. What could be more "profane" than Rev. Victoria Weinstein's Big Fat U*U Sodomy Fantasy luridly imaging U.S. state senator Bill Napoli "anally impaled on the Statue of Liberty's torch"? Actually, come to think of it. . . I can think of one or two other examples of Big Fat U*U Profanity that may well outdo Peacebang's remarkably "profane" sodomy fantasy, or at least run a close second, butt I will keep them to myself for the time being.
