The Emerson Avenger

The Emerson Avenger is a "memory hole" free blog where censorship is scorned. This blog will "guard the right to know" about any injustices and abuses that corrupt Unitarian Universalism. Posters may speak and argue freely, according to conscience, about any injustices and abuses, or indeed hypocrisy, that they may know about so that the Avenger, in the form of justice and redress, may come surely and swiftly. . . Will UUA Co-Moderators Elandria Williams And Mister Barb Greve Repudiate The UUA's Immoral, UNethical, Borderline Criminal And #BatShitCrazy Misuse Of Canada's Blasphemy Law. . .

In UUA clergy sex abuse cover-up legal bullying that was quite evidently intended to conceal "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape" most certainly committed by "certain Unitarian Universalist ministers" (to say absolutely nothing of certain Unitarian Universalist Religious Educators and Lay Persons. . .) from the public?

Just asking. . .

Unitarian Universalist Self-Forgiveness Sucks

Just saying. . .

In these comments that I just submitted in response to Unitarian Universalist David G. Markham's brand spanking new 'UU A Way Of Life' blog post entitled 'The mission of Unitarian Universalism is to teach forgiveness':

"the most important step in this direction is to forgive our own trespasses"

Seriously? I thought that's what psychopaths and sociopaths do. . .

Stunningly hypocritical, and shamefully conscienceless, habitually "forgive" their own trespasses while remaining extremely judgmental of "others".

If Unitarian Universalists want forgiveness for their own trespasses they need to seek forgiveness from the people who their own trespasses have caused harm to. Forgiving one's own trespasses aka "self-forgiveness", that avoids accountability and redress for one's trespasses, borders on psychopathy and sociopathy.

In December of 2014 I offered conditional forgiveness to Montreal Unitarian U*U Sue Montgomery for falsely accusing me of libeling her when in fact I was, and still am. . . telling the readily verifiable Truth about her complicity in, and even knowing and willful participation in, Unitarian Universalist perversion of justice, indeed misuse and abuse of Canada's criminal justice system, towards the end of concealing UUA clergy sex abuse from the public.

See: http://emersonavenger.blogspot.ca/2014/12/media-lawyer-mark-bantey-chalica.html

Sue Montgomery ignored, and thus rejected, that offer of forgiveness if she acknowledged her "sins" and repented, so she remains unforgiven. I have repeatedly offered conditional forgiveness to Unitarian Universalists if they responsibly acknowledge their "sins" and repent of them, but they obstinately refuse to acknowledge even the slightest wrongdoing. I have never encountered a group of people who on the one hand are unjustly judgmental to the point of ludicrousness, and on the other hand who so stubbornly and self-righteously pretend that they have done no wrong whatsoever.

Projet Montreal's Candidate For Mayor Of Côte-des-Neiges Notre-Dame-de-Grâce And Such Despicable Crimes As Pedophilia And Rape Committed By Certain Unitarian Universalist Ministers - What's The Connection?

How about this comment that I just posted in response to this Projet Montréal Facebook post announcing that Montreal Unitarian U*U Sue Montgomery is Projet Montréal's candidate for mayor of the Montréal borough of Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce?

I remind Projet Montréal once again that Montreal Unitarian U*U Sue Montgomery is totally complicit in her religious community's immoral, UNethical, borderline criminal, and quite frankly insane attempted misuse of Canada's blasphemy law in UUA clergy sex abuse cover-up legal bullying that sought-seeks to conceal "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape" committed by "certain Unitarian Universalist ministers" from the public. Sue Montgomery is also a knowing and willful participant in the cynical misuse and abuse of the Canadian Criminal Code, and SPVM police power, by the Unitarian "Church" of Montreal in it's deeply misguided and outrageously hypocritical attempts to force an end to my peaceful public protest against Unitarian Universalist clergy abuse and other U*U injustices, abuses, and hypocrisy. On December 4th of 2014, Montreal media lawyer Mark Bantey claimed that Sue Montgomery would not hesitate to sue me for libel for making such statements in a demand letter I was served with while protesting against her complicity in Unitarian Universalist clergy abuse cover-up, but Sue has now been hesitating sue me for more than 2 years, 8 months and 1 week i.e. 982 days. Montreal Unitarian U*U Sue Montgomery's false libel accusation against me in a deeply misguided and cynical effort to conceal her own well-documented complicity in, and collusion with, Unitarian Universalist clergy abuse cover-up and denial is just one more example of her dearth of honesty and integrity that makes her unsuitable to be a politician of any stripe, let alone Projet Montréal's candidate for mayor of Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce. I previously brought these matters to the attention of Projet Montréal as a whole in questions that I posed to Alex Norris and Valérie Plante during the Public Questions periods of the June 2017 city council meeting. It is negligent and irresponsible for Alex Norris, Valérie Plante, and Projet Montréal as a political party to bury their heads in the sand regarding these serious allegations that call the integrity of Sue Montgomery into question. Please do some responsible fact checking and then govern yourselves accordingly. You can start your fact checking by reading how I responded to Mark Bantey's demand letter which falsely accused me of of making "libelous statements" about Montreal Unitarian U*U Sue Montgomery.

Do not even think about deleting this critical comment, as that will signal that Projet Montréal as a political party is rather more interested in concealing the readily verifiable Truth about Sue Montgomery's complicity in her religious community's cover-up and denial of clergy abuse than acknowledging that Truth and dealing responsibly with my readily provable allegations about Sue Montgomery's complicity with, and even her knowing and willful participation in, past and ongoing efforts to cover-up and deny Unitarian Universalist clergy abuse which includes, but is by no means limited to, what the Unitarian Universalist Association's Canadian attorney quite aptly described as "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape" in the highly questionable demand letter in which he falsely accused me of the archaic criminal act of blasphemous libel on Friday June 1st of 2012.

I am saving and taking a screen shot of this comment, so deleting it aka "memory holing" it in an effort to conceal the Truth about Sue Montgomery's complicity in Unitarian Universalist clergy abuse cover-up and denial would be highly inadvisable.

Atheist Unitarian Universalist UUA Leaders Make Their Moral Decisions Without Reference To A God

Indeed the Atheist Unitarian Universalist UUA leaders known as UUA President Rev. Dr. Peter “Beyond Belief” Morales and UUA Executive *Vice* President Kathleen “Kay” Montgomery made their rather dubious "moral decision" to authorize the UUA's Canadian attorney, Stikeman Elliott Barristers & Solicitors litigation lawyer Maitre Marc-André Coulombe, to falsely accuse Yours Truly of violating Canada’s blasphemy law in UUA clergy sex abuse cover-up legal bullying that sought to conceal “such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape” most certainly committed by “certain Unitarian Universalist ministers” without any reference to a god, and I said as much in the following comment that I just submitted in response to this Interview with David Rand, President of Atheist Freethinkers:

“The atheist makes his or her moral decisions without reference to a god.”

No doubt the Atheist leaders of the Unitarian Universalist Association, i.e. recently resigned UUA President Rev. Dr. Peter “Beyond Belief” Morales and less recently “retired” UUA Executive *Vice* President Kathleen “Kay” Montgomery, who made the questionably moral decision to falsely accuse Yours Truly of violating Canada’s blasphemy law in UUA clergy sex abuse cover-up legal bullying that sought to conceal “such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape” most certainly committed by “certain Unitarian Universalist ministers” did so without any reference to a god, to say nothing of without any reference to the following Biblical commandment which does not require any god to validate it. . .

Thou shalt NOT bear false witness against thy neighbor.

The hubris. The hubris. . .

Eric Alan Isaacson And Unitarian Universalist Clergy Sex Abuse Cover-Up And Denial - What's The Connection?

Can U*Us say resigned UUA Board Trustee Susan Weaver who, in her capacity as *Vice* Moderator of the Unitarian Universalist Association, was also the chair of the UUA's Congregational Boundaries Working Group, is the wife of La Jolla California lawyer Eric Alan Isaacson? To say nothing of the fact that Eric Alan Isaacson may well be a knowing and willful participant in Unitarian Universalist cover-up and denial* of clergy sex abuse himself in that it seems quite probable that he has deleted aka "memory holed" the comments that I posted in response to this Eric Alan Isaacson Facebook post earlier today. . . I can't tell exactly what "Eric The Red-Faced" has done about the comments that I posted to his personal Facebook page, because he has made it impossible for me to view his Facebook account.

Here is the typo corrected full text of the first comment that I posted, "annotated" with hyperlinks to pertinent web pages:

Robin Edgar Eric Alan Isaacson So your wife, former UUA Board *Vice* Moderator Susan Weaver, did not inform you that at least 400 out of 1000+ UUA congregations have been affected by clergy sexual misconduct of one kind or another? That is almost 40% of all UUA congregations, and it is the minimum number of UUA congregations that are affected by clergy sexual misconduct, the number could be significantly higher. Some people "in the know" about UU clergy misconduct matters estimate that as much as 60% of UUA congregations have affected by one form of clergy sexual misconduct or another since the merger in 1961.

I am curious as to why Susan resigned as UUA *Vice* Moderator. Did she come to realize that she was something of a patsy, if not a knowing and willful participant, in ongoing UUA cover-up and denial of UU clergy sexual misconduct of the worst kinds, such as pedophilia and rape? I don't recall ever hearing Susan speak out against the brazen bald faced lies that recently deceased UUA Moderator Jim Key told to U*Us in the stunningly disingenuous, and thus utterly worthless, "UUA Board apology" to victims and survivors of U*U clergy sexual misconduct that he inappropriately inserted into the middle of his first Moderator's Report to a UUA General Assembly in June of 2014.

http://emersonavenger.blogspot.ca/.../uua-moderator-jim...

Nor did I ever hear Susan speak out against the UUA's immoral, UNethical, borderline criminal, and quite frankly insane attempted misuse of Canada's blasphemy law in clergy sex abuse cover-up legal bullying that sought to conceal "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape" committed by "certain Unitarian Universalist ministers". It was part of Susan's job as a UUA Board Trustee, to say nothing of UUA *Vice* Moderator. . . to ensure that former UUA President Rev. Dr. Peter Morales, and other implicated UUA leaders such as former UUA Executive *Vice* President Kathleen "Kay" Montgomery, faced accountability for the UUA's shameful betrayal of the centuries old tradition of opposing blasphemy laws that Unitarians and Universalists held to right up to Friday June 1st of 2012 when the Rev. Dr. Peter Morales led UUA ended that tradition by arranging for the UUA's Canadian attorney to falsely accuse me of violating Canada's blasphemy law in legal bullying intended to intimidate me into "memory holing" The Emerson Avenger blog posts that tell the readily verifiable Truth about "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape" committed by "certain Unitarian Universalist ministers". I am not aware of Susan Weaver, or any other UUA Board Trustee. . . doing anything to ensure that the UUA formally withdraws its false blasphemous libel accusation against me, publicly apologizes for it, and publicly discloses the Truth about just how many UUA ministers, to say nothing of UUA Religious Educators, have actually engaged in what Stikeman Elliott Barristers & Solicitors litigation lawyer Maitre Marc-André Coulombe quite aptly describes as "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape".

See: http://emersonavenger.blogspot.ca/.../uua-unitarian...

And: http://emersonavenger.blogspot.ca/.../stikeman-elliott...

So please do ask Susan exactly why she did resign as *Vice* Moderator of the UUA on February 23, 2016, I am not convinced that "Susan’s resignation was for personal and family reasons" alone, if at all. . . and please also ask Susan just what she knows about the UUA clergy sex abuse "issues" that I have raised in this comment. Feel free to also practice UUism's Fourth Principle by engaging in free and responsible Google searches for the Truth and meaning of what I have stated here. And finally, please refrain from deleting aka "memory holing" this critical and controversial (yet very Truthful) comment, since engaging in such censorship and suppression of the readily verifiable Truth about U*U clergy abuse matters will make you complicit with, and even a knowing and willful participant in. . . ongoing Unitarian Universalist cover-up and denial of "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape" committed by "certain Unitarian Universalist ministers", to say nothing of various other U*U clergy abuse matters.

UUA President Rev. Susan Frederick Gray Wants To Hear The Emerson Avenger's Visions, Passion, Heartaches, And Triumphs

But don't take *my* word for it U*Us. . .

Take the word of recently (s)elected UUA President Rev. Susan Frederick Gray, as posted to her official "public figure" Facebook page in this post that she posted earlier today

"As I make my way cross-country to Boston, I’m thinking about how I want to be in touch with you all. I want to hear your visions, passion, heartaches, and triumphs."

I decided to respond to Rev. Frederick Gray's request by telling her about one of my triumphs in this comment that I posted in response:

Since you want to hear my triumphs, I dare say that I have quite triumphantly dealt with the UUA's immoral, UNethical, borderline criminal, and indeed stunningly foolish false blasphemous libel accusation against me, but I still require an official withdrawal of that false accusation of violating Canada's blasphemy law which put an ignominious end to the centuries old traditions of Unitarians & Universalists of opposing blasphemy laws, an official and very public apology from the UUA, and public disclosure of exactly how many UUA ministers and Religious Educators the UUA knows to have actually engaged in what the UUA's Canadian attorney quite aptly describes as "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape". That means public disclosure of all UUA ministers and Religious Educators who have been charged, tried and convicted of "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape" etc., as well as public disclosure of all UUA ministers and Religious Educators who have credibly accused of "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape" (and other child sex abuse and serious sexual assault) even if they have not actually been charged, tried, and convicted of "such despicable crimes".

Please ensure that this utterly shameful UUA clergy sex abuse cover-up legal bullying is freely and openly addressed at the next UUA Board of Trustees meeting(s) so that this false accusation of blasphemous libel is formally withdrawn, and properly and publicly apologized for, in a timely manner.

Thank you,

Robin Edgar aka The Emerson Avenger

Update: It seems that in the comparatively short time that it has taken for Yours Truly to write and publish this The Emerson Avenger blog post, UUA President Rev. Susan Frederick-Gray, or someone else managing her Facebook account on her behalf. . . has deleted aka "memory holed" the above comment, as the screenshot posted below shows. This is a very regrettable course of action on the part of recently s-elected UUA President Rev. Susan Frederick-Gray which makes her an knowing and willful participant in UUA cover-up and denial of some of the worst forms of clergy sexual abuse, indeed "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape" committed by "certain Unitarian Universalist ministers", and also signals Rev. Frederick Gray's knowing and willful complicity in the Unitarian Universalist Association's immoral, UNethical, borderline criminal, and yes. . . #BatShitCrazy attempted misuse of Canada's blasphemy law in UUA clergy sex abuse cover-up legal bullying. I also just discovered that the comments that I had successfully posted to Rev. Frederick-Gray's July 8th Facebook post about looking forward to working with the "great people" on the UUA Board of Trustees have also been "memory holed" by Rev. Frederick Gray herself, or some other U*U who is managing her Facebook account on her behalf. I had hoped for better from a person who apparently claims to have studied ethics at Harvard Divinity School. . . This does not bode well for Rev. Susan Frederick Gray, the UUA, or the Unitarian Universalist "religion" as a whole. . .

Unitarian Universalism's First Principle And Such Despicable Crimes As Pedophilia And Rape Committed By Certain Unitarian Universalist Ministers - What's The Connection?

How about this plagU*Urized parody version of an excerpt from a sermon that Rev. Dr. Victoria Weinstein aka Peacebang aka Vicki The Impaler delivered to her First Parish Norwell U*U "Church" parishioners approximately six years before she so immorally, and so UNethically, (dare I say so “sinfully”?) colluded with the Unitarian Universalist Association and the UUA's "less than perfect" Canadian attorney, Stikeman Elliott Barristers & Solicitors litigation lawyer Maitre Marc-André Coulombe, to falsely accuse Yours Truly of the archaic criminal act of blasphemous libel in UUA legal bullying that, amongst other things. . . was intended to conceal "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape" committed by Peacebang's pedophile rapist First Parish Norwell parishioner Richard Buell from the public?

I thought I’d share this excerpt from a sermon Peacebang gave in 2006 since there seems to be a broader challenge to those U*Us who persistently and conveniently misinterpret U*Uism's First Unitarian Universalist Principle to mean that they should not be taken to task for their egotistical and obstructionist attitudes in The U*U Movement. It has fresh relevance today in the broader conversation about Rev. Dr. Victoria Weinstein aka Peacebang colluding with the Rev. Dr. Peter "Beyond Belief" Morales led UUA in immoral, UNethical, borderline criminal, and yes. . . #BatShitCrazy misuse of Canada's soon to be repealed blasphemy law in UUA clergy sex abuse cover-up and denial legal bullying that was*is quite evidently intended to conceal "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape" most certainly committed by "certain Unitarian Universalist ministers" (to say nothing of certain UUA Religious Educators and Peacebang's pedophile rapist parishioner Richard Buell) from the public aka all persons of inherent worth and dignity.

Unitarian Universalists share a set of seven principles. The first among them is a commitment to affirm and promote “the inherent worth and dignity of each person.” I think this is a beautiful principle, and I am happy to see that Unitarian Universalists take it seriously enough to invoke it on a very regular basis in the wider denominational context.

But Boston, I think we U*Us have a Big Fat U*U Problem. When it comes to the notion of moral or ethical FAILings, also known as “sin,” U*Us tend very often to jump right to the first principle and to say, “Remember, that person has inherent worth and dignity!” It’s as though that’s it, that’s the final truth, and therefore, we must not delve at all into the question of whether or not there is some moral or communal failing or problem that needs to be named and fixed.

Our Big Fat U*U "Mistake" is in seeing our first principle as a kind of sociological and psychological claim rather than an ontological claim. (An ontological claim is a claim about the nature of reality itself.) To use simpler language, we have often insisted that because each person has “inherent worth and dignity,” they can really do no wrong, in the final analysis, because to accuse them of doing wrong is akin to accusing them of being wrong and unacceptable in some basic way. This kind of attitude really stymies conversation and stifles healthy conflict. It says, “There’s no such thing as sin, because we’re all inherently worthy!”

Well, of course we are inherently worthy. But we are also occasionally terribly wrong and terribly harmful. The first principle should not be the ending point for our view of human nature, and a conversation stopper, it should be the starting point – the first assumption — for our work toward spiritual growth and ethical commitment. The first principle should be the optimistic claim that starts us on our way knowing that we can ascend higher on the ladder of moral evolution.

That first principle was written to remind us that there are many people whose voices have been silenced, whose humanity has been denigrated, and whose full participation in the notion of God’ s grace has been questioned. Our first principle calls us to serve as guardians for the humanity and dignity of those people especially, and to promote such conditions for all people as allows that dignity and worth to flourish. It was never intended to be used as a defense plea for my sins or yours, but as a rallying cry toward an ethic of universal kinship.

– from “Inherent Worth And Dignity, The Starting Point”

Delivered to the First Parish Unitarian Church in Norwell, March 12, 2006, The Rev. Dr. Victoria Weinstein

CLF Senior Minister Rev. Meg Riley Viciously Kicks "Resigned" UUA President Rev. Dr. Peter "Beyond Belief" Morales And "Retired" UUA Executive *Vice* President Kathleen "Kay" Montgomery In Their Big Fat U*U Balls*!

In this plagU*Urized UUA version of  a Rev. Meg Riley reflection that is posted to the Church of the Larger Fellowship's 'Quest for Meaning' blog:

“Empathy, compassion, and clear communications spring from a different kind of knowing than does parsing complex theological doctrine. Both are important…The world is a richer place when we respect the many different ways that people exhibit brilliance, and come to know what they know. May we create a world together where all ways of knowing are honored and respected.”

Read the full reflection from Rev. Meg Riley online at Quest for Meaning.

The Church of the Larger Fellowship’s spiritual theme for July is “ways of knowing.”

The Unitarian Universalist Association Is Quite Corrupt And Racist

But don't take *my* word for it U*Us. . .

Take the word of Unitarian Universalist "gadfly" Chris Barghout, as posted to the U*U World blog in this comment Chris Barghout posted in response to the U*U World article entitled:

In resigning, some UUA staff received ‘shocking’ severance

So the UUA is racist and now quite corrupt as well. And by not publishing the names of this con or the amounts, the interim board is complicit in this charade. Legally, if this were a large corporation that UU's complain about or the government, the names and amounts paid would be compulsory. Legally therefore, the church is hiding behind its church status in keeping info from us, its members. That Bill Sinkford and the board are astonished and shocked while keeping us in the dark is pure baloney. (Baloney not my first choice of words but this article would have been deleted). Half a million from the budget disappeared could not be kept secret for long. Black leaders elected almost exclusively by whites, who complain about a culture of white supremacy, while at the same time only give out info that would certainly been outed at GA, while withholding the more important info about who and how much, don't appear to be anything approximating the beloved community they give lip service to. And the two leading candidates for new denominational president both represent ministers from communities where housing costs at least 1.5 million and up and where one sends her kid to a segregated school (check it for yourself) it's in her bio.

Every night we hear about what did Trump know or one of his underlings know about Russian collusion, now us liberals get to have the same fun conversation. Believing the interim board and others were in the dark for 2 months, that they are freely giving us info now, that things are as they appear is impossible to stomach. The one thing to be sure of is the money is gone or will be soon. The other is unless this magazine or others become more then the UU equivalent of Fox news, things will be swept under the rug.

UUA President Susan Frederick Gray Gets Another Electronic Communication From The Emerson Avenger

In the form of this comment that I posted earlier today in response to this post about the UUA Board of Trustees that new UUA President Rev. Susan Frederick Gray posted to her Facebook account on July 8th, 2017. Without further ado, here is the typo corrected and "annotated" version of my comment:

Every single one of those "great people" on the UUA Board of Trustees is 100% complicit in the Unitarian Universalist Association's immoral, UNethical, borderline criminal, and quite frankly insane (being polite here), misuse and abuse of Canada's blasphemy law in UUA clergy sex abuse cover-up legal bullying that was*is quite evidently intended to conceal "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape" most certainly committed by "certain Unitarian Universalist ministers" from the public by intimidating me into deleting aka "memory holing" certain The Emerson Avenger blog posts that tell the readily verifiable Truth about "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape" committed by "certain Unitarian Universalist ministers", to say nothing of certain UU Religious Educators and lay leaders. It is time for the UUA Board of Trustees, and*or your new UUA administration, to "do the right thing" by doing what I demanded within days of being falsely accused of the archaic criminal act of blasphemous libel by the Rev. Dr. Peter Morales led UUA in June of 2012.

The UUA must formally withdraw the false blasphemous libel accusation that it brought against me in June of 2012, and should withdraw any other outright false or highly misleading accusations that it made in the two cease and desist demand letters that I was served with by the UUA's Canadian attorney, Stikeman Elliott Barristers & Solicitors litigation lawyer Maitre Marc-André Coulombe, in June of 2012.

The UUA must officially, and very publicly, apologize for its immoral, UNethical, and borderline criminal attempted misuse of Canada's blasphemy law in UUA clergy sex abuse cover-up legal bullying, which not only wantonly disregards and flagrantly violates several of the Seven Principles of Unitarian Universalism, most notably the 2nd and 4th Principles, but also outright betrays, and effectively puts an end to. . . the centuries old tradition of opposing blasphemy laws that the Unitarian and Universalist religious communities upheld until Friday June 1st, 2012, when the UUA ended that tradition by falsely accusing me of violating Canada's soon to be repealed blasphemy law.

The UUA must publicly disclose exactly which Unitarian Universalist ministers have been charged, tried, and convicted of committing what Maitre Marc-André Coulombe quite aptly described as "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape", Rev. Mack Wallace Mitchell is not the only UUA minister who fits that description, there are a number of others who the UUA must identify. The UUA must also disclose how many UUA ministers have been credibly accused of committing "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape", or other serious sexual assault, even if they were never actually convicted of committing these despicable crimes.

I have a few other demands arising out of the shameful clergy abuse cover-up legal bullying that the Rev. Dr. Peter Morales led UUA initiated in June of 2012 and never repudiated, and some other demands arising out of previous UUA foolishness, but these three demands absolutely must be responsibly acted upon quite rapidly if you want your UUA administration to avoid being accused of being complicit in the UUA's as yet to be withdrawn false blasphemous libel accusation against me.

Please refrain from deleting aka "memory holing" this critical comment, since doing so will make you a knowing and willful participant in ongoing UUA cover-up and denial of "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape" committed by "certain Unitarian Universalist ministers". It would be best for all concerned that your new UUA administration gets off to a much better start than immediately signaling its complicity in UUA clergy abuse cover-up and denial.

I hope that you will live up to the letter and the spirit of not only UUism's Seven Principles, but also your own statements about UU clergy misconduct in the lead up to your election as President of the UUA.

Please ensure that the UUA unblocks me from sending emails to your UUA administration, and the current UUA Board of Trustees, so that lines of communication may be reopened, and the quite regrettable mess that you inherited from the Rev. Dr. Peter Morales led UUA administration, UUA Moderators Gini Courter and Jim Key, and a negligent and complicit UUA Board of Trustees may be responsibly and rapidly cleaned up.

Thank you,

Robin Edgar aka The Emerson Avenger

UUA President Susan Frederick-Gray Gets An Electronic Communication Courtesy Of The Emerson Avenger

In the form of this comment that I just posted in response to Rev. Susan Frederick-Gray's Facebook post about being elected as the first elected woman president of the Unitarian Universalist Association:

Congratulations Susan.

I too appreciate the way you, Rev. Alison Miller, and Rev. Jeanne Pupke kept to the high ground during the 2017 UUA presidential election campaign. I also appreciated what all three of you said in your "CONVERSATIONS in the spirit of Elizabeth Palmer Peabody and Margaret Fuller Ossily" interviews with Rev. Deborah Pope-Lance and Rev. Gail Seavey which are available to be viewed on YouTube. I don't have "high hopes" for your presidency, because having "high hopes" in UUA leadership is less than well advised in my experience and observation. I do however have cautious and I believe quite reasonable hopes for your presidency, especially with regards to what you will do to reform the UUA's policies and procedures for handling all forms of clergy misconduct, both sexual misconduct and non-sexual forms of clergy misconduct, and what you will do to provide genuine "justice, equity, and compassion" to not only recent victims of UU clergy misconduct, but victims of "historic" clergy misconduct whose misconduct complaints were mishandled by past UUA administrations.

Sincerely,

Robin Edgar aka The Emerson Avenger

P.S. One of my hopes is that you will refrain from deleting aka memory holing this comment. Please don't disappoint me.

Child Sex Abuse IS Happening In Unitarian Universalist Congregations

But don't take *my* word for it U*Us. . .

Take the word of newly elected UUA President Rev. Susan Frederick-Gray, as quite clearly stated 16 minutes in to her recent U*UTube interview with Unitarian Universalist clergy sex abuse experts Rev. Deborah Pope-Lance and Rev. Gail Seavey as part of their "CONVERSATIONS (sic) in the spirit of Elizabeth Palmer Peabody and Margaret Fuller Ossily" series of U*UTube videos.

The exact words of UUA President Rev. Susan Frederick-Gray regarding child sex abuse happening in UUA congregations are:

"We want to think there's not child abuse in our congregations, and we want to think that our clergy certainly would not misconduct. So one of the most important things that comes first is saying "No" this is going to happen, this IS happening."

So, although Rev. Susan Frederick-Gray did not go into any specifics about the kind of child abuse that IS happening within UUA congregations, and she did not name any UUA ministers who have been charged, tried, and convicted of committing various forms of child sex abuse (indeed what the UUA's Canadian attorney, Stikeman Elliott Barristers & Solicitors litigation lawyer Maitre Marc-André Coulombe, quite aptly describes as "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape") she none-the-less made it quite clear that child abuse IS happening in UUA congregations, and this statement was within the context of a larger discussion about clergy sexual misconduct committed by Unitarian Universalist ministers. This is a refreshing change from the immoral, UNethical, and utterly shameful institutional denial of child sex abuse committed by UUA ministers that recently resigned UUA President Rev. Dr. Peter "Beyond Belief" Morales, and even more recently resigned (to say nothing of recently deceased) UUA Moderator James "See No Evil" Key are quite evidently guilty of.

What Rev. Frederick-Gray says leading into those statements, and following them, is also quite revealing about U*U clergy misconduct matters, so I would invite U*Us, or anyone else who is concerned about Unitarian Universalist clergy misconduct issues. . . to watch the whole video from beginning to end.

I would also invite persons of inherent worth and dignity to watch the videos of the interviews of the two other candidates for UUA President who were not elected. i.e. Rev. Jeanne Pupke and Rev. Alison Miller since they both have some interesting, and quite valuable. things to say about U*U clergy misconduct issues that are worth being aware of.
